Why we made Codicar

We are developers, and we got fed up: almost every app for little kids is full of ads or puts the fun part behind a paywall. So we built one ourselves. Codicar is completely free, with no ads and no in-app purchases. Everything is simply included.

What’s inside

  • Paint it yourself

    Big brushes and bright colours. The paint always stays inside the car, and your own cars are kept safe in the garage.

  • Three worlds

    Drive through the meadow, along the beach and through the snow. Honk the horn, switch on the siren and splash through puddles.

  • Stars and stickers

    Collect fuel, earn stars and fill your sticker book.

  • Little and big

    Little (age 2 and up): touch to drive, you can’t lose. Big (age 4 and up): control the throttle and watch your fuel.

  • Play together

    Two kids on one tablet, each on their own half and in their own mode.

  • Play time

    Set a play time. When time is up, the car goes to bed. No fuss, just done.

How do I open the settings?

Tap the gear in the top right of the home screen. Then hold the two buttons in the corners (top left and bottom right) together for 2 seconds. That is the parent lock: easy for you, hard for a toddler.

How do I set a play time?

Tap the clock in the settings. You can choose off, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes. When time is up, the car goes to bed.

How do I delete the painted cars?

Hold the trash can in the settings for 2 seconds. All painted cars in the garage are then deleted.

Is Codicar really free?

Yes. No ads, no in-app purchases, no subscription. Everything is simply included.

Does Codicar need the internet?

No. Codicar works completely offline and never connects to the internet.

Which devices does Codicar run on?

Android phones and tablets (via Google Play) and iPhone and iPad (via the App Store).
